Tax exemption for resellers
Buying DTF transfers to resell? Send us your seller's permit and we will take sales tax off your future orders.
- 1. Tell us about your business and enter your seller's permit number.
- 2. Upload a photo or PDF of the permit itself.
- 3. We generate your resale certificate instantly. A person reviews your permit and switches your account to tax exempt, usually within one business day.
Submitting this form does not remove tax from an order on its own. Orders placed before your account is approved are taxed normally.

Reference
Your California resale certificate is ready. Download a copy for your records — we have kept one on file too.
Because your permit was issued outside California, a member of our team will review it by hand rather than generating a certificate automatically.
What happens next: we check your permit and switch your account to tax exempt, usually within one business day. You will hear from us by email at the address you gave. Until then, orders are taxed as normal.
Your application is saved, but our notification system had a hiccup. Please call (657) 439-0180 with your reference number so we can fast-track it.
Questions
Tax exemption questions
What resellers ask us before sending a permit.
(657) 439-0180Mon–Fri, a real person answers.
How long does approval take?
We review applications on business days, usually within one business day. You will get an email once your account is switched to tax exempt.
Does submitting this form remove tax from my order?
Not by itself. We review your seller's permit first, then mark your customer account tax exempt. Orders placed before approval are taxed normally.
I am not in California — can I still apply?
Yes. Upload your home-state resale or seller's permit and we will review it by hand. The California resale certificate is generated automatically only for California permits.
Is the certificate you generate an official state form?
No. It is a resale certificate issued between you and DTFGO, containing the elements California requires under Revenue and Taxation Code section 6091 and Regulation 1668. Nothing is filed with the state on your behalf.
What do you do with my permit?
We store it privately and only staff reviewing your application can see it. We keep it on file as the record supporting your exemption.
